Gillian Scarlett is a creative force with a background rooted in architectural precision and a soul drawn to abstract expression. A proud graduate of the University of Virginia School of Architecture, Gillian began her professional journey as an Architect at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. Her time in architecture was marked by thoughtful design and a deep appreciation for structure and space.
Yet, beyond the blueprints and building codes, Gillian always harbored a lifelong passion for abstract design — a love that eventually guided her toward a new chapter. Leaving the traditional path of architecture behind, she embraced the freedom and emotion found in abstraction, channeling her creativity into art that speaks from the heart.
Today, with the invaluable support of her brother, Gordon Scarlett, based in Denver, Gillian brings her vision to life through Artsy Workspace — a vibrant platform where structure meets spontaneity, and where her love for design (and dogs) finds a joyful home.
